Social and Emotional Wellbeing

Social and Emotional Wellbeing

The social and emotional wellbeing is the foundation of any academic learning, for any person. We have a number of strategies and approaches to support both students and adults in this area.

  • Daily mindfulness for both students and staff
  • Art expression for students
  • Daily online and physical check in opportunity for students and staff
  • Lunchtime clubs organised by students
  • Vertically grouped clubs once a week: Gardening, Cooking, Science, Textiles, The Arts, Outdoor activity, Self awareness
  • Student buddy program
  • Wellbeing ARM of our Community Team (Parent representative body)
  • We employ a school counsellor through a partnership with Centacare who sees students, staff and parents upon request or referral in guidance support.
  • We employ Learning Support Officers who work at developing relationships across the school and provide students with additional needs extra one on one support.
  • We have a Wellbeing team of staff who specifically support students with additional needs, both emotionally and academically.
